Questions

How do I get my antivirus software to allow me to install Photoshop?

My McAfee AntiVirus software won’t let me install Photoshop.

Any ideas on how to fix it?
It’s Photoshop from a CD, not a website.
Stop suggesting to get new software, thats stupid.
There is no disable button.

You could uninstall it and install AVG instead. It’s free and easy to use.

Try to find a different website to download it from. I have Mcaffee and photoshop so it should be fine and it might just be that one.

Temporarily disable the software. Go to the icon on the tray at the bottom and right click and say disable. When you finish the install, then turn the program back on.

I think that the free version of AVG antivirus is the best because it provides many components of protection. Try running the installation as an administrator. But if that doesn’t work just turn of McAfee, install photoshop, and then turn it back on.

Yeah turn it off.
Permanently, just use avg or something.

You always install new software in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode only the processes needed for the OS to run will be on. That way you will run very little risk of any existing files getting corrupted during installation of a new program or any of the new programs files getting corrupted by other processes/programs running during installation.
